Fairfax, VA

Fairfax is the name of two distinct entities: Fairfax County and the City of Fairfax. One of the United State’s largest international airports, Dulles International, is located in the western region of the county.

The City of Fairfax, known locally as Fairfax City, is centrally located within Fairfax County and the Northern Virginia area in general. It has a suburban look and feel, with multi-acre estates to efficiency apartments and everything in between, but it is known for its outdoor recreational spaces,parks, lakes and hiking trails. Located just 14 miles west of Washington D.C., Fairfax is near two interstates and multiple major regional arteries making commuting very convenient into Arlington, Washington D.C., Tysons, or points west.
